We have found ourselves home sweet home in the grand Panama City, FL. although we live in Lynn Haven, neighbors. But we are back! We have opened, let’s fact it, it’s time! My husband Cliff has been a marine electrician for almost 15 years. No where in Bay County is  a position that offers the kind of pay we need for me to stay home as house manager, kid manager & now business manager. I have the background to run a business & Cliff has the required skills add some. We did your typical market research & while there are marine electricians here, there aren’t but 1-2 that do their own thing.

Cliff has acquired incredible training from the USCG during the time he served. He, of course, graduated from military boot camp. Straight from there he we to “A” school where officially Certified to be an Electrician’s Mate in the USCG. His served aboard the Coast Guard’s largest cutter ship at the time, the USCGC Hamilton & made 2nd class right off the bat. Throughout his time on the Hamilton, he visited all up & down the Pacific & received awesome training and a list of awards. Pretty badass awards:

Coast Guard Unit Commendation Award, Coast Guard Presidential Unit Citation, Armed Forces Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Coast Guard Good Conduct Medal, Commandant’s Letter of Commendation, Global War Terror Service Medal, Coast Guard Merit Unit Commendation x 2, Coast Guard “E” Ribbon, Coast Guard Special Operations Service Ribbon, Sailor of the Quarter

The next transfer was to a Buoy Tender, the Barbara Mabrity where he was christened a EM1: 1st Class (Rate E6) & AEO (Acting Engineering Officer). Also during this time, he attended “C” school which is an advanced school for electrician’s and courses included:   A Certification in: Integrated Control Systems; Typical courses such as Personal Fitness/Conditioning, Health & First Aid; Swimming; Boating/Seamanship; and 19 weeks of advanced courses such as AC/DC Theory, AC/DC Motors & Generators; Intro to Solid State Devices; Fire Science Technology; Electrical Motors, Controls & Generators; Power Distribution, Control Circuits; Electromechanical Control Systems; Industrial Electricity & Safety; Electrical Systems Troubleshooting & Maintenance.; Maintenance & Personnel Management; Blueprint Reading and more!

After the military, he spent almost 6 years working for Honeywell International as a Marine Electrician and Generator Repair Technician on Federal Contracts for the Navy which only added to his knowledge. After this, we decided we move back home and try and be of service to OUR boating community, in the town we love. So, here we are: Coastie Marine Services.
